Author: ADP Admin/Tuesday, June 4, 2024/Categories: Compliance Corner , State Compliance Update, South Carolina

As recently shared, South Carolina has enacted legislation (House Bill 3726), which requires employers to respond to requests for unemployment benefits information beginning March 1, 2024, and to file quarterly wage reports by April 30, 2024. We are sharing additional information regarding how ADP TotalSource will support you with these changes:

The details

Under House Bill 3726, employers with at least 10 employees must electronically:

·      Respond to the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW) requests for information on individual unemployment benefits (UI) claims.

·      File quarterly wage reports with the (SCDEW) beginning with the first quarter of 2024.

Next steps

·      ADP TotalSource uses the State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES) to fulfil UI requests from South Carolina. This system meets the requirements for electronic responses from SCDEW and no further action is needed on your part unless prompted by an ADP associate.

·      ADP TotalSource will file quarterly wage reports with the (SCDEW) as required.
