Summary:A federal district court vacated the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) decision to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Honduras, Nicaragua, and Nepal. DHS has terminated TPS for Somalia set to expire March 17, 2026

Next Steps: DHS is expected to appeal the court’s decision vacating the TPS terminations for Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua. In the meantime, TPS related employment authorization for these countries remains extended. Review country specific TPS information including which employment authorization documents are extended based on document expiration dates using the links above.

TPS benefits and related employment authorization documents for Somalia will expire on March 17, 2026.

Employers and TPS beneficiaries should be aware that TPS policy continues to shift rapidly and remains the subject of ongoing litigation. ADP will continue to monitor and report future developments.
