We are pleased to share new enhancements to our services tools to make your TotalSource experience even more convenient and useful. Captured below are a few upcoming enhancements with the date you’ll be able to experience them:
Enhanced Message Center – Now More Intuitive and Easier to Use
Available: September 15, 2016
The Message Center provides each employee with his or her own integrated access to view HR, Benefits, Time, and Approval Process messages. Now it has a more intuitive look and feel, is easier to use, and includes many improvements based on feedback from clients like you.
Here are a few of the new features and functionality:
Features
- An intuitive layout that lets you see messages filtered by date, and separate messages in their own area for quick access
- Ability to view detailed and complete information about messages
- An enhanced Quick View/Envelope icon design
- An interactive tour and demo of the Message Center
Functionality
- Ability to perform actions without the need to leave the main page – surface Quick Actions like approve and reject
- Ability to mark alerts as read and move them to their own folder
- Ability to archive messages manually and automatically for easier management
- Ability to obtain an accurate count of messages in each folder
- Performance improvements so that messages are loaded faster
- Many other improvements, incorporating client feedback

- New Hire Process
Available: October 10, 2016

-On the Start Hire page, you now can select the work location and the new hire template on the
same page.
-The one-page design is a collapsible, sectioned page that gives you multiple ways to navigate through the process.
-The redesigned New Hire wizard validates as you go, so you can fix errors as you progress through
each step (no more back-tracking at the end). If you don’t have the information (or the time) to fix the error right now, you can choose to Continue With Errors and fix it before you review and submit information for the new hire.

- Enterprise Search Enhancements

The advanced search function now includes Reports, Learning Bytes (brief product feature demos), and Analytics in the search results. When you enter at least two characters in the search field in the upper-right corner of any
page, results will now be grouped into two categories: the People category and the Navigation, Reports, Learning
Bytes category.

-Essential Time and Attendance
Available: October 10, 2016

-Your employees with Time Entry Methods of Clocking or None can add notes to their timecards for the current or next pay period.

-Payroll Validations
Available: October 10, 2016
|
- New payroll processing validations were added to ensure that the payroll data is compliant with state and federal regulations.
· All errors must either be corrected by making changes to the employee record or pay data or you will have the ability to enter comments for some errors to explain why this error is an exception.
· You will not be able to accept the payroll until the errors are corrected or a comment is entered for each error.
· If you enter comments, you can send those comments to your Payroll Service Representative for review.
· Warnings are items that should be reviewed prior to accepting the payroll.
