Alaska has enacted legislation repealing Alaska Administrative Code §15.120, which allows employers to pay individuals with disabilities less than minimum wage if determined that the disabled individual would otherwise be deprived of employment opportunity.
Effective February 16, 2018, persons with disabilities must be paid at least the Alaska minimum wage which is currently $9.84 per hour.

Action Required: Employers with employees in Alaska must ensure that all non-exempt employees, including individuals with disabilities, are paid at least minimum wage.
