We know that setting up an off-cycle or unscheduled payroll can be daunting, so we have redesigned and automated this feature with you in mind.

You will now be presented with 3 templates, Bonus & Supplemental Wages, Correction Payroll, and Termination Payroll.

Which template works best for you?

·      Bonus & Supplemental Wages: This is appropriate to use for paying out supplemental wages (e.g. bonus, commission, stock options, time off, etc.) outside of normally scheduled payrolls.

·      Correction Payroll: This is appropriate to use for correcting missed hours or earnings from a previously processed payroll.

·      Termination Payroll: This is appropriate to use for issuing the final payment to an employee who has recently been terminated.

With each template, you will determine how the employee(s) will receive the wages, either Standard payment method (i.e. Direct Deposit) or Live check only. Then the other entries necessary are the payroll dates:

·      Pay Date: When the employee(s) will receive the wages.

·      Period End Date: Ending date that needs to appear on the resulting pay statement.

·      Days in Period: Number of days the wages being processed apply to.

·      Payroll in date: Enter the processing payroll date.

·      Payroll out date: Enter the next business day after the payroll in date.

Note:  If your company code has 2 pay groups, the window will display the options to enter the payroll dates for either pay group.

Once you fill in the payroll dates and select NEXT, what you’ll notice is that, based on the chosen template, the necessary deduction groups and special effects will be activated automatically.  If you need to process the payroll same day, you only need to return to the Payroll Schedule page and Change Week # to your newly created payroll.

Ready to check it out? Navigate to Process > Payroll > Payroll Dashboard > Smart Links > Payroll Schedule – Select Add a New Payroll.
