Gender/Sex Field and Reporting Updates

ADP regularly reviews and enhances products based on best practices and compliance requirements. Practitioner field labels have been updated in the Personal Profile and also in Reporting. These label updates clarify field functionalities and support practitioners' compliance with mandatory workforce-related reporting obligations to federal and state governments. The changes especially benefit multistate employers who gain enhanced flexibility to collect and report workforce data in multiple jurisdictions that may have conflicting requirements.
Note: Existing import and DataBridge fields will not be impacted.

Tracks a person's self-identified gender/sex. This field is populated when an employee enters a value either via Onboarding (Profile step) or under Myself >My Information >Profile >Personal Info.
- Do not use this field to track a visual identification of a person's gender/sex.
- Employees are able to indicate their gender/sex and practitioners will not be able to edit this field.
- Note: Employees see the field name Gender/Sex in Self Service. When employees self-ID, their selection flows both into the Gender/Sex Self-ID field and also the Gender field on the Personal Profile.
