The minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to $5.54 per hour on January 1, 2020. If the employee's tips and direct cash wages fail to meet or exceed $8.56 per hour in 2020, the employer must make up the difference.

Florida employers must pay all non-exempt employees at least $8.56 per hour by January 1, 2020. Florida employers must also post an updated minimum wage poster.
