New Year Brings Paid Sick Leave to Washington

Washington has joined the growing list of jurisdictions requiring employers to provide paid sick leave to employees. As of January 1, 2018, all Washington employers, regardless of size, must provide their employees paid sick and safe leave.

State-Specific Separation Notices Available

In fourteen states, a separation notice is required to be given to terminating employees. The fourteen states are: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
